Barça from La Masia puts 3 academy players up for sale to sign Luis Díaz
The 3 players who will leave Barcelona so the club can carry out the signing of Luis Díaz
After the end of the season, Barcelona has started planning their moves to strengthen their squad. Aware of their weaknesses, Barcelona has set the signing of Luis Díaz as one of their goals. However, given the high value of the Colombian winger, Barcelona has surprised everyone by putting three of their most outstanding academy players up for sale.
The first of them is Ronald Araujo, who hasn't had a good season with Barcelona. Harshly criticized for very specific mistakes, Barcelona doesn't consider him essential for next season. This is why, for this summer transfer window, Barcelona is extremely interested in Araujo's departure for €60 million.
The other two academy players who could leave are Gavi and Fermín López, for whom they hope to get €70 million and €80 million, respectively. This shows the terrible management of a Barcelona that's willing to sell players they've often boasted about.

The sacrifice for Luis Díaz
At 28 years old, Luis Díaz quickly established himself as a great star at Liverpool after his arrival in 2022. Having been essential to the Premier League title won this season, Díaz's future is quite uncertain. Although his contract runs until 2027, Barcelona is willing to sign him in order to strengthen the left wing.
However, given the severe financial crisis Barcelona is experiencing, the club has been forced to make some sales. While Araujo's departure isn't a surprise for their season, those of Gavi and Fermín certainly are.

In Gavi's case, the player who managed to win the Golden Boy at the time hasn't managed to settle at Barcelona after his serious injury. Fermín, on the other hand, has been overshadowed by a Dani Olmo whom he managed to surpass at several points during the season.
Barcelona's surprises
Being willing to sell these players shows that the importance Barcelona has always given to La Masia is a blatant lie. Seeing their academy players as just a source of income, Barcelona has once again revealed their true face to the world.
