Barcelona Fans Spread a Disgusting Fake Rumor about Real Madrid after the 'Olmo Case'

The loss of the Spanish attacking midfielder is a severe blow to their competitive aspirations this season

Hansi Flick has started 2025 with terrible news. The board of directors led by Joan Laporta hasn't been able to gather the necessary funds to facilitate Olmo's registration in the updated League lists. Therefore, the player is leaving the team as a free agent without the possibility of playing with the Barça team for the remainder of the current soccer season.

The loss of Dani Olmo is a clear blow to the competitive aspirations of the club for this campaign: after all, he was one of their best players. Barça fans' furstration for not being able to register a great star like him has ended up directing accusations against Madrid and its president.

One of the most commented publications on the matter comes from an account on the social network X, called "FCB PRIME". According to it, "LaLiga gave the green light to Madrid to account for income from canceled concerts, unused parking lots, and the halted Sky Bar". The second accusation, even more striking, involves the political bodies of the Community of Madrid.

Because "instead of demanding explanations, they tailored the regulations with the 'Mbappé Law'". The falsehood of these accusations quickly prompted an immediate reaction from several journalists and the platform itself. The community left a devastating note for this publication, in which both accusations against Real Madrid are refuted.

Unexpected reaction

The  community note points out that "Madrid hasn't included in the 25/26 season budgets the income from concerts or parking lots" because they aren't built. At the same time, it reminds 'FCB PRIME' that "the so-called Mbappé Law doesn't benefit Mbappé. For that, he would have to invest in Madrid for six years", a requirement that is still far from being met.

Additionally, Ramón Álvarez de Mon has provided more context to this controversial publication on the social network X. Because "aside from the fact that Madrid has much more salary cap than salary mass, this year's decision was to budget 0 million for unheld concerts." According to the journalist, economist, and member, the future accounts of the white club don't reflect any of the extradeportive activity of Santiago Bernabéu.

While waiting to solve the tense situation with the neighbors around the merengue coliseum, the executives led by Florentino Pérez  don't consider those incomes. Avoiding creating false expectations about their income, Real Madrid maintains a healthy economy that allows it to intervene in the market when and how it truly needs to.

The 'Olmo case' has shaken Spanish soccer, as very rarely has an event of such magnitude been seen. The financial and institutional crisis of FC Barcelona continues judging by what happened during the last hours of 2024, when it seemed that Dani's registration would be possible... although it ultimately wasn't.
