Bayern steps in and could take Xabi's top signing choice over Wirtz

The Munich side has reportedly fully entered the race to sign Angelo Stiller

Real Madrid continues working to strengthen several positions to achieve the best results in the upcoming season. For now, Xabi Alonso has secured the additions of Dean Huijsen and Arnold for the defense. He also has Franco Mastantuono for the midfield, although the club believes that a playmaker profile is still needed.

In that regard, Martín Zubimendi was one of the top candidates, but the Basque footballer already has everything set with Arsenal. That's why another name that appeared on the Madrid coach's list was Angelo Stiller. The Stuttgart footballer is highly regarded by Xabi Alonso, who knows him well from his time in the Bundesliga.

However, the signing of Angelo Stiller by Real Madrid, unless there is a radical last-minute change, won't happen. Bayern Munich, which has always been known for signing Bundesliga prospects, has reportedly set its sights on the German footballer.

Bayern Munich wants to sign Angelo Stiller

According to "El Gol Digital", contacts between Bayern Munich and the player's camp have intensified in recent hours. The Bavarian club, which is currently competing in the Club World Cup, wants to sign the midfielder as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Real Madrid could join the race, although it isn't the main candidate.

Real Madrid did contact the footballer's camp, but not Stuttgart. Bayern Munich has taken that step, so the German champions have the most advanced operation.

In addition, Real Madrid didn't want to pay those 50 million euros for the footballer, something Bayern Munich is willing to do.

What is absolutely clear is that Angelo Stiller, barring any surprises, won't remain at Stuttgart next season. The German, who is expected to be the next Toni Kroos in the Germany national team, has a strong market and is eager to take the next step in his career.
