Betis confirms the signing and puts an end to the Dani Ceballos case, it's official

The situation with Dani Ceballos has finally been solved after Real Betis's recent move

Just like last summer, Real Betis has once again emerged as a possible destination for Dani Ceballos. Given the limited role of the Spaniard at Real Madrid under Xabi's management, a departure has once again become a possibility. However, according to what we know at Defensa Central, Real Betis has preferred to sign Nelson Deossa.

The midfielder from Monterrey, Mexico, has been signed for €13.5 million ($13.5 million) to play at Benito Villamarín. A much more affordable transfer than that of Dani Ceballos. Despite having received €30 million ($30 million) from the sale of Johnny Cardoso, Real Betis will once again not have Ceballos for next season.

This has ensured the presence of the Utrera native at Real Madrid for at least 1 more year. A situation that, at the very least, keeps the midfield of the Merengues secure. Although Ceballos knows he won't be an undisputed starter, he trusts he can play several minutes.

One more summer in white

Dani Ceballos's time as a Real Madrid footballer has been full of ups and downs. Signed in 2017 from Real Betis, Ceballos played 2 seasons before leaving on loan to Arsenal. At the English club, he managed to show his best version, becoming one of the pillars of the midfield before his return to Real Madrid in 2021.

Since then, Ceballos has gone from being a regular player to a substitute in just 4 years. This has led the Utrera native to be on the exit list on more than one occasion. Just last summer, Ceballos was close to returning to Real Betis.

Although the interest from the Verdiblancos remains, the signing of Ceballos is not being considered. This is due to his contract until 2027 and his high value for Real Betis. At 28 years old, Ceballos will have to wait a little longer to return to Benito Villamarín.

An asset for Xabi Alonso

Having played only 70 minutes during the World Cup, Xabi's lack of trust in Ceballos is evident. Even so, this doesn't seem to have affected the Spaniard ahead of next season. Given the departures the club has suffered and Bellingham's absence, Ceballos could have the opportunity to show his worth.
