Camavinga is losing the race and may leave Real Madrid

The possible destination outside Real Madrid that Eduardo Camavinga could move to in a future transfer window

The season has started in the best possible way for Real Madrid, but the future of some players has become filled with uncertainty. Eduardo Camavinga, signed to be a key figure in midfield, could leave Real Madrid. According to what we know at Defensa Central, several Premier League clubs have shown interest in signing the Frenchman.

Although the summer transfer window has closed, the winter window could bring some offers for Camavinga. Given the fierce competition in the Merengue midfield, Camavinga has started to be left out. This, clearly, has been influenced by the constant injuries the Frenchman has suffered since last year.

Even so, when Camavinga has managed to play minutes, his performance has been disappointing. Although Real Madrid hasn't considered his departure, this could change ahead of the next transfer window. Camavinga, now more than ever, needs to prove his worth to keep his place at the White club.

Premier league threat

Signed in 2021 from Stade de Rennes, Eduardo Camavinga arrived at Real Madrid as a promising midfielder. Under the guidance of Kroos and Modric, Camavinga was expected to be the successor to both when they left Real Madrid. However, the still young Frenchman hasn't managed to live up to the team's expectations.

At 22 years old, injuries have significantly affected Camavinga's performance. Just last season, the player was only able to play a total of 2,082 min. (2,082 minutes) of game time. Unable to play in the Club World Cup, Camavinga still hasn't made his debut for Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso as coach.

His latest injury, a sprain in his right ankle, has prevented him from making his debut this season. While he's expected to be available for the match against Real Sociedad, Camavinga's situation is complicated. Having to compete against Güler, Valverde, Tchouaméni, and Bellingham when he returns, the Frenchman wouldn't have many opportunities.

Camavinga's future

Given this scenario, Eduardo Camavinga is aware that he will have to work harder than usual when he returns. The Frenchman must show that he has what it takes to stand out at Real Madrid as a starter. Because of this, the rotations Xabi will make soon in the season could help Camavinga stay.
