Ceballos Already Knows Real Madrid's Plans, 55 Million-Euro Operation and Florentino Agrees
White Executives Aim for a New Name to Expand the Roster of Midfielders
One of Real Madrid's major concerns this season is in the midfield. Toni Kroos's retirement has caused a notable game crisis that Carlo Ancelotti has only been able to temporarily solve with different "patches". At least until Dani Ceballos began to be a regular in his starting line-ups.
With the Utrera midfielder positioned at the base of the scheme, Real Madrid's game began to flow and registered a considerable improvement. But that good streak was abruptly interrupted during the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals, when the '19' suffered a significant knee injury. His downtime is two months, leaving him out of most of the important commitments remaining in the competitive merengue calendar.

Madridist sports discipline has had to adapt to a new absence in the midfield. The white executives, meanwhile waiting for the return of a player who has proven to be reliable in the worst moments of the season, are already looking for alternatives in the transfer market. One of the names that would have the most impact on the roadmap for the summer period of 2025 is Martín Zubimendi.
The possibility of signing Real Sociedad's '4' has many ballots in the white leadership. The txuri-urdin footballer is a young player, thoroughly tested for elite performance and with Spanish nationality. His drafts with Luis de la Fuente's group are more than usual, something that fits into the renewed Madridist recruitment policy.
New Objective
The white club wishes to increase its presence in the Spanish national team, regaining the ground it has lost over time. But it will not rule out other options that could compete with Martín Zubimendi, such as the proposal arising from the Premier League that could also compete with Dani Ceballos.
Kobbie Mainoo is one of the latest to enter the white orbit for the summer 2025 transfer market. Manchester United's '37' is currently injured, but he has had a 24/25 season to remember, appearing up to 60 times with the red devils. His good performance has also led scouts led by Juni Calafat to present very optimistic initial reports about his possible fit in the first white team.

At just 19 years old, Kobbie Mainoo has become one of the pillars of the tactical scheme proposed by Rúben Amorim. Several sources indicate Mainoo as a clear target for Real Madrid although the white club understands that the arrival of a midfielder is not "an immediate priority". Be that as it may, Mainoo would already be integrated into the list of potential signings managed by the board led by Florentino Pérez.
The incorporation of the '37' from the red devils would be around 55M euros. That is the current market value of the English pivot, whose contract with Manchester United ends in summer 2027. The player has the option to renew for one more season, but a hypothetical call from the Valdebebas offices could radically change that decision of the British midfielder.
