Fabrizio Romano announces Liverpool's failure with Isak, Rodrygo returns to the spotlight
The Brazilian is once again an option for Liverpool and is a target in the market
Bayern Munich has finally managed to secure the services of Luis Díaz to strengthen its attack. That left Liverpool looking for a forward, setting their sights on the Swedish striker, Isak. They were willing to make a major outlay, yet another one this summer, to acquire his services.
Everything indicated that they were close to doing so; however, things have ended up going awry. Fabrizio Romano has been very pessimistic about the deal and predicts Liverpool's failure. In fact, Isak, for now, has returned to Newcastle after training at Real Sociedad's facilities.

It seemed that his time at Zubieta was a prelude to his arrival at the Reds a few days later. With his return to Newcastle, doubts are growing about whether the transfer will go through. In addition, Fabrizio points out that "the striker's future is still to be clarified."
Newcastle "haven't opened the door to his departure for now," which is complicating the deal. We already know that since Bin Salman's arrival, the Magpies have had no financial problems. So if Isak doesn't request a transfer, it's going to be difficult for it to happen.
Liverpool's interest in Rodrygo is reactivated
Liverpool has always seen Rodrygo as a potential reinforcement for its attack, longing for his signing. However, this summer they had cooled their interest as they focused on other players. With everything that's happened, the Madridist's name is gaining momentum again.

With the money they've received from Luis Díaz, they're willing to go after him if they see an opportunity. Although they're aware that it won't be easy to secure his services either, especially because Rodrygo's stance would be to stay with the Whites.
He is focused on turning the situation around and earning Xabi Alonso's trust again. In fact, he hasn't communicated to the club his intention to leave, something that was an essential requirement. There's still a long summer ahead, and Liverpool knows that anything can happen until the transfer window closes.
