The fact that proves the persecution: three times as many goals disallowed as Barça
The referee and VAR disallowed three goals for Real Madrid in the match against Mallorca
Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 2-1 in the third matchday of LaLiga, managing to sleep as leaders. However, the match was marked by refereeing controversy. VAR disallowed three goals for the white team, two for Kylian Mbappé due to offside and one for Arda Güler for an alleged handball, sparking all kinds of criticism.
In addition, this match increased an alarming statistic against Real Madrid. Since the 2018/19 season, when VAR was implemented in LaLiga, the white club has had 37 goals disallowed. Meanwhile, Barça, the main competitor in the national championship, has only accumulated 14.

Three goals disallowed in a single match...
The match against RCD Mallorca, officiated by Sánchez Martínez and with Pulido Santana in VAR, reflected this trend. The first disallowed goal came in the 7th minute, when Mbappé beat Leo Román after a pass from Alexander-Arnold, but VAR indicated a marginal offside.
Before halftime, another goal by the Frenchman was invalidated for an offside position. The last straw came with Güler's goal, disallowed for an absurd handball due to the lack of continuity in the play. Later, Bernabéu erupted against the referees and the name Negreira resurfaced.
Real Madrid's numbers are there
The data are clear: Real Madrid has 23 more disallowed goals than Barcelona, followed by Villarreal (20), Sevilla (19), and Atlético (18). This disparity has caused outrage among Madridists, who perceive unequal treatment.
Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso also questioned the use of VAR after a controversial goal was awarded to Atlético in Vitoria. "These are mistakes that shouldn't happen", he commented. Despite the refereeing decisions, the whites came back from Muriqi's opening goal with goals from Güler and Vinícius in just 73 seconds, securing the provisional lead with nine points.

Real Madrid heads into the break with positive feelings and a lot of work done. Yesterday, at Bernabéu, the players didn't stop running. In addition to fighting against eleven from RCD Mallorca, they also had to do so against Sánchez Martínez and VAR.
