Figo Reveals Who He Would've Voted for in the Ballon d'Or, Message to Vinicius
Luís Figo reviewed his career and left some striking messages on Iker Casillas's podcast
The always controversial Luís Figo, who played for F.C. Barcelona between 1995 and 2000 and for Real Madrid from 2000 to 2025, was invited to the podcast 'Bajo los Palos' by Iker Casillas, a Madridist goalkeeper from 1999 to 2015.
"Now that I'm going to get serious, but I would like to know that side of yours that you have, little pause, zingers and more zingers through social media", they asked him.
"I was watching a video and I was saying... Do you think people are so stupid... and think or believe in what you're saying?", commented Luís Figo.

"People like people in general, they like to see you screwed. It's like one lives off the unhappiness of others", explained the Portuguese.
Who Was Luís Figo's Favorite for the Ballon d'Or?
"You always think you're going to win and if you don't, it's a disappointment. I think whoever won did things to win. Rodri, who won the Eurocup, deserves to win", he commented initially.
"But Vinicius also deserved it. He won the Champions League, had an impressive year. If I voted, last year I would vote for Rodri and this year maybe for Vinicius", he added later.
Luís Figo acknowledged Rodri's good soccer year at Manchester City, but his favorite was always Vinícius.
How Was His Arrival at Real Madrid from Barça?
Additionally, Luís Figo was also asked about his first days in white after passing through FC Barcelona. "In the first weeks, many people I already knew supported me, like Fernando Hierro or Raúl. I arrived at a time of transition, with a change of direction", he commented.

"I arrived and there was no one to take me to training. I remember that the person who always picked me up at the hotel was Pirri. I lived in that hotel for about three months!", highlighted Luís Figo.
"Pressure has always helped me stay awake. I knew perfectly well how they were going to receive me at Camp Nou. (...) When you go there, you already know they're going to kill you or call you anything", concluded Luís Figo.
