A Figure That Puts Madrid on Alert: Only Seven Players Haven't Suffered an Injury

The white team is surrounded by this type of setbacks and has a very demanding schedule ahead

Real Madrid's main problem this season is totally uncontrollable. And it is completely alien to the club, at least in terms of its appearance. Basically because it doesn't depend on itself.

We are referring, of course, to injuries . Where Madrid thrashes practically the majority of teams. The last one to 'fall' was Kylian Mbappé, who couldn't even finish the first half of the game against Atalanta on Tuesday.

'It's a strain, a discomfort in the hamstring. It doesn't seem serious, but he had to stop. He couldn't sprint, it bothered him a bit,' said Carlo Ancelotti after the game.

On Thursday we learned the extent of the Frenchman's injury. Specifically, according to the club's website, Mbappé has a thigh injury on the left leg. The medical report stated that it was "pending evolution."

Madrid have now accumulated 27 injuries during the first five months of the competition. And that's only after 23 games.

There are more injuries than games at the moment. The Meringue team can play more than 70 games, to give us an idea.

The Madrid infirmary has Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão injured at the moment. Both players have already said farewell to the rest of the season after having serious knee injuries.

They are followed by Ferland Mendy, who has a muscle injury in his right quadriceps since last Saturday in the match against Girona, and the aforementioned Mbappé. Eduardo Camavinga has just left the team, having been suffering from a muscle injury in the hamstring of his left leg for more than two weeks.

David Alaba has also been out injured for almost a year. The Austrian suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the last league game of 2023. He is expected to return in January.

The magnificent Seven

Of the entire Madrid team, seven are the only ones who haven't been injured: Andriy Lunin, Fran García, Antonio Rüdiger, Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Arda Güler and Endrick. Although the Ukrainian did suffer from gastroenteritis, being unable to be drafted to his national team during a 'break'.

These are the seven magnificent results of a season that has entered its first third and in which Madrid, as happened last season, has been given a one-eyed look. The Chamartín team had 48 injuries a year ago. If things continue like this, those figures will easily be surpassed.
