Getafe - Real Madrid: Match Summary at the Coliseum

Real Madrid Takes Three Hard-Earned Points at the Coliseum Thanks to a Goal by Arda Güler and a Show by Courtois

The Coliseum Has Never Been a Comfortable Venue for Real Madrid, and the visit on this matchday 33 was no exception. From the first minute, Bordalás's Getafe showed that they would sell their skin dearly.

Luis Milla warned very early with a shot inside the area after a pass from Terrats that required the first white reaction. It wouldn't be the last.

The local team pressed in the early stages with several attacks, like a dangerous header from Mayoral and a powerful shot from Terrats.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti's team, without Modric or Ceballos at the start, sought to organize themselves. Fede Valverde tried to surprise with a volley-lob after a long pass from Arda Güler, but without success.

Güler Lights the Way

Real Madrid shook off the blue dominance with a play that seemed dead. Vinicius led a counterattack without reward, Brahim couldn't finish after cutting back, but the rebound fell to Güler's feet.

From the right side, the Turk set himself up for his less skilled foot and unleashed a sharp strike to the near post. Soria managed to touch it, but couldn't prevent the 0-1. The Ottoman's second league goal, who continues to justify each start with talent and determination.

The goal spurred the visiting team. Fran García came close to the second with a double chance after an assist from Vinicius, and Endrick was about to score in a great combination with the Brazilian, but Djené saved on the line.

Brahim also sought the goal with a shot that Soria awkwardly deflected. Madrid had taken control, although Getafe never gave up.

Changes, Tension, and a Huge Goalkeeper

After the break, Ancelotti introduced Camavinga for Alaba, moving Tchouameni to the center of the defense. The locals replied with offensive changes: Álvaro Rodríguez and Coba brought new energy to the blue attack. The game opened up, errors and risks increased, and the areas began to heat up.

Endrick wasted a clear chance in a one-on-one with Soria after a great play, and shortly after Brahim forced the Getafe goalkeeper to fly to prevent the second.

Camavinga tried on his own, but was also blocked. Bellingham came on for a downcast Endrick, while Güler, cheered by his own, made way for Ceballos in the 77th minute.

But if anyone became the absolute protagonist of the final stretch, it was Thibaut Courtois.

In stoppage time, Getafe threw everything forward. Juanmi and Álvaro came close to equalizing. But the Belgian appeared with several miraculous interventions, including a low hand to Álvaro that saved the three points.

Neither Alderete, with a clear header, nor Peter, who lost his nerve in a clash with Asencio, managed to beat the white '1'.

A Victory Worth Gold

Real Madrid withstood the final onslaught with a physically depleted team. With no substitutions available and with Camavinga injured, the team held on with 10 through character, effort, and a monumental goalkeeper.

Courtois's scare after a blow in the last play didn't overshadow his imperial performance.

Three vital points to keep up with the leadership, in a match where Real Madrid didn't shine like other nights, but did show competitiveness, commitment, and unwavering faith. Güler decided and Courtois closed the door. An infallible formula when soccer gets tough.
