The only way Real Madrid could allow Dani Ceballos's departure
After the signings made, Real Madrid is ready to finalize several departures. Dani Ceballos is one of the players marked to leave due to the little trust Xabi Alonso has in him. However, according to information from AS newspaper, Ceballos would only leave if Real Madrid receives an offer for him.
This is because, as Defensa Central has learned, Real Madrid isn't completely sure about letting the player go. If Ceballos leaves, the club would have only four midfielders for next season. Jude Bellingham, one of the club's stars, won't be able to start the campaign due to his shoulder surgery.
Real Betis, just like last summer, is one of the clubs interested in Ceballos. However, the club can't afford, for now, to carry out the transfer of the player from Utrera. Taking this into account, Ceballos's future remains hanging in the air for this transfer window.
The only way for Ceballos
Signed by Real Madrid in 2017, Dani Ceballos kept himself at the club for two seasons until he left on loan to Arsenal. A move where Ceballos managed to show his best version, being a key player for the "Gunner" midfield. Returning to Real Madrid in 2021, Ceballos has gone from less to more and vice versa in the Merengue team.
Despite having been close to leaving last summer, Ceballos stayed at the club. It was a wise decision since, due to injuries, Ceballos was able to play several minutes. Playing a total of 2,058 minutes, Ceballos returned to the bench under Xabi Alonso.
Even though this indicated a departure from him this summer, this isn't a certainty. After Modric's departure, Ceballos's exit would be a hard blow for the squad. Although Ceballos clearly won't be a starter, he would be a decent rotation player for the team.
The mystery of the season
Being aware of his only way to leave Real Madrid, anything can happen with Ceballos this summer. Given Real Betis's doubts, any club could make an offer. However, if Ceballos stays, the Merengue midfield will be well covered.
