He was on Madrid's radar and Liverpool are taking him for €40M, it's not Carreras
The goal for this transfer window that Real Madrid has lost after Liverpool's multimillion offer
Throughout the entire season, one of the positions that raised the most doubts at Real Madrid was left back. With Ferland Mendy and Fran García performing at a rather questionable level, Real Madrid considered signing a reinforcement essential. With several full-backs on their radar, Real Madrid developed a special interest in Milos Kerkez.
The Bournemouth player appeared on Real Madrid's radar at the same time the club showed interest in Dean Huijsen. Although Real Madrid succeeded in signing the young center-back, Kerkez is set to join Liverpool. This is because the current Premier League champion has made a generous offer of €40 million.

Showing their intention to finalize the signing of Kerkez as soon as possible, Liverpool has managed to get ahead of Real Madrid. Although the signing isn't official yet, everything indicates that Real Madrid won't be able to count on Kerkez's services starting next season.
Liverpool's millions
One of the most solid players in the Premier League last season was Milos Kerkez. The 21-year-old full-back managed to show his quality while also proving the skills that secured his place in the starting eleven. Playing 3,565 minutes, these were enough for Real Madrid to consider signing Kerkez.
Seeing in Kerkez the young full-back they so badly needed in their squad, Real Madrid's interest kept increasing. However, Liverpool has gotten ahead in this operation with their multi-million euro offer, which Bournemouth clearly hasn't rejected.

By staying in the Premier League, Kerkez missed the opportunity to become part of Real Madrid. Although Liverpool had a solid season, the reality is that Real Madrid was a much better option for a Kerkez who is hungry for glory.
Rejection of Real Madrid
Even though signing Kerkez will no longer be possible, Real Madrid has taken this news calmly. Aware that there's still time before the end of the transfer window, Real Madrid still has Álvaro Carreras as an option to reinforce the left back.
