Iturralde's reflection on Balde's penalty: 'It's unnatural'
Iturralde surprised everyone by giving his view on Balde's penalty in the Levante - Barcelona match
Yesterday there was quite a bit of controversy over the handball called against Barcelona. It's true that Balde's position wasn't very natural, but there have been other similar actions that weren't called. They're ruining soccer, because now nobody knows what counts as a handball.
"It's a penalty, his arm is in an L shape and it's unnatural. What he does is take up more space on a ball that's going toward goal. He doesn't have it down, but rather in an L shape, above the waist," Eduardo Iturralde explained on Carrusel Deportivo.
"There's a lot of controversy because people compare it to Tchouaméni's in El Clásico, which, moreover, had the same referee. The difference is that Tchouaméni's arms were below the waist and it was a natural position," the former referee added. These statements caused even more anger among the blaugrana fans.
Some exaggerators
At Barcelona, they're always very opportunistic. Yesterday, they didn't stop complaining about the refereeing, but, coincidentally, on matchday 1 they didn't say anything about the scandal that took place in Mallorca. They were favored by the referees' decisions and that made it much easier for them to get the 3 points.
Real Madrid has been harmed much more in recent years and RMTV proves it with documents. These are shown to everyone and cause anger among anti-Madridists, who seem to want to forbid the white club from complaining.

The double standard
Unfortunately, in Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona are always going to be judged differently. They talk about sociological Madridism, when most media outlets are full of anti-Madridism. There's a lot of hatred and envy toward the best club in the world and there are people who can't stand it.
At Real Madrid, we're more focused on our objectives
