Florentino smiles: huge offer for Nico Paz and there's an OK from Real Madrid

The Merengue club is moving forward with the Argentine footballer's future this summer

One of the names that has been constantly linked with Real Madrid during the 2025 summer transfer window is Nico Paz. The Argentine attacking midfielder, thanks to his excellent performance at Como 1907 during the last football season, seemed to be one of the "must-have" signings for the executives led by Florentino Pérez.

Nothing could be further from the truth: instead of betting on his return to Santiago Bernabéu locker room, the sporting management decided to bring in Franco Mastantuono to the first team. That's why Nico Paz's future as a Real Madrid player is looking increasingly complicated... unless the current "10" of the Lombard side accepts a conversion to interior positions.

It doesn't seem that Nico Paz is ready or willing to make such a notable change in his football career, so a sale is starting to look like a well-regarded operation. From the Valdebebas offices, aware of the high level the South American player has shown in Serie A, his market value has increased significantly.

With that growth in his market value come higher figures to try to secure his services. In fact, the first offers sent from the Premier League are set at a minimum threshold of €50 million, a transfer more than welcome in the club's coffers. That's why Real Madrid is open to the sale of Nico Paz.

We'll see what happens

Not only to avoid prolonging a return to the Spanish capital that may never happen. Also to obtain some financial gain, given that Nico Paz's move to Como 1907 has not brought all the football benefits that were desired. The first offers satisfy the club, which prefers to wait for the best possible approach.

Especially because, as Defensa Central has learned, the final decision regarding Nico Paz's future belongs to the Madrid bosses themselves. In fact, the Spanish capital club still retains 50% of Nico Paz's transfer rights, an advantage that changes any decision by the Lombard executives.

Some media outlets have indicated that Nico Paz may have attracted offers of €70 million, although the reality is closer to €50 million. Tottenham Hotspur appears so far to be the most interested in signing the Argentine attacking midfielder.

Real Madrid would receive at least about €25 million if Nico Paz leaves Italy in the coming seasons. That operation would be one of the most profitable the club has recorded since La Fábrica became one of the leading youth academies in the Old Continent.
