Josep Pedrerol Speaks Clearly about Saudi Arabia and Vinícius's Future: It's Over
The host and director of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' has no doubts about this soap opera
The "Vinícius case" continues at Real Madrid. There aren't even changes as the games go by. Especially now that the "7" hasn't been able to be on the field due to his accumulated suspensions.
The cards seen by the Meringue striker have left him out of the Madrid sports discipline. Which has continued winning without having who has been its main reference in attack in recent times. The Brazilian player, however, is already cleared to return for the next game on the white calendar.
The pace of Madrid's victories, without Vinícius on the field, has raised a very striking question. Do Ancelotti's pupils play better without one of their stars? At Real Madrid, they have no doubts about this issue because the striker from São Gonçalo is essential.
Josep Pedrerol understands it the same way and has expressed it on El Chiringuito de Jugones. "I think Vinícius can be at Madrid for 22 years, but it only depends on him". The possibility of leaving for Saudi remains on the table, and everything points to it becoming a reality during the next summer market thanks to a multimillion offer.
Two paths
The sports talk show host also emphasizes Real Madrid's stance: "the club wants to have Vinícius for life". That's why his future in Bernabéu locker room "will depend on how he moves the pieces" when negotiating with the different offers in his career. In that sense, Vinícius has several models to follow.
Because "there have been players who have moved them well and others who have moved them poorly. It will depend on how Vinícius moves the pieces", repeats Josep Pedrerol. "If he makes a mistake with the bishop, he has a problem because the rook arrives". Concludes the veteran Catalan journalist talking about the "Vinícius case."
Thus, Josep Pedrerol definitively poses the dilemma in which Vinícius Jr. is trapped. The Brazilian footballer can choose to leave Real Madrid, earning a lot of money in Saudi Arabia... but completely away from the European football elite and from writing his name in the history of the beautiful game.
On the other hand, if he decides to stay at the white club, he will have access to everything he has always wanted. Including the possibility of winning the much-desired Ballon d'Or. Both Vinícius himself and the Real Madrid bosses know what's at stake... but from the Valdebebas offices, they won't force him to stay if he truly wishes to end his time wearing the white jersey.
