Lucas Vázquez doesn't hold back, he compares Mbappé to Ronaldo Nazario after his stunning goal

The former right-back of Real Madrid leaves a more than striking comment

One of the undisputed protagonists of the September international break for Real Madrid is Kylian Mbappé. The Bondy forward scored a fine goal during the match between Ukraine and France, for qualification for the next European Championship. That goal means a lot to Real Madrid's new "10".

Not only because it gives his national team the chance to keep expanding their sporting achievements in one of its best periods of competitive success. It also puts him just one goal away from surpassing Thierry Henry, a legend of French soccer, as the all-time top scorer of the national team he represents.

This goal scored against Ukraine has sparked all kinds of reactions. After all, it was a very well-worked play, with just two passes, that takes advantage of the unbelievable individual quality of those involved. Kylian Mbappé does his part to beat the European goalkeeper, that's true, but the pass from Aurélien Tchouaméni is another highlight of this action.

The Madrid striker was not willing to waste the excellent delivery from his teammate and fellow countryman, even while being chased by one of the most withdrawn Ukrainian defenders on the field. After cutting inside the player, Mbappé finishes with the inside of his foot, slotting the ball into the lower left corner of the Ukrainian goal.

Very important goal

That run-of-play move, with barely any time to think, has drawn the attention of the coaching staff led by Xabi Alonso. The new physical preparation by Ismael Camenforte, as well as the tactical changes brought by the Tolosa coach, show that having the best Mbappé back is possible.

In addition to the positive reactions from the Madrid coaching staff, the comments have flooded the post made by the French center forward on Instagram after that match against Ukraine. One of the most striking responses, just three words, comes from a former Madrid player and teammate: Lucas Vázquez.

The former "17" of Real Madrid, now at Bayer Leverkusen, made it clear that this play was typical of "Ronaldo Nazário". Lucas Vázquez added to that comparison the burning fire emoji, as a representation of the excellent form Kylian Mbappé seems to show at the start of the current season.

The current sporting project is built around Kylian Mbappé. Xabi Alonso's first tactical decisions have made it clear that the new white "10" is one of the few untouchables the Tolosa coach has in its locker room. Now it remains to be seen whether the French player is able to keep up that good performance throughout the rest of the current soccer season.
