A Madrid Legend Calls for Ancelotti's Departure, Message to Florentino: 'his Job'

Consider that they should fire him even if he wins titles at the end of the season.

This Wednesday, Real Madrid is playing for a spot in the Champions League round of 16 against Manchester City. They bring a favorable result from the first leg at the Etihad, but they need to make it count at the Bernabéu. However, the atmosphere is heated after the last few days.

Not only because of the refereeing controversies that have been occurring in recent matches against Madrid. But also because of the statements from a legend of the white team. He has criticized Ancelotti, calling for his departure and sending a message to Florentino.

It is Pedja Mijatovic who has given an interview to Josep Pedrerol for his Post, El cafelito. He has stated that “regardless of how this season ends, Ancelotti should leave.” Even if they win La Liga or the Champions League, he believes it should be the end.

In fact, he directly points out that “Florentino should make the decision and opt for another solution as coach.” The name he puts on the table is Xabi Alonso, if his situation allows it. But whether it's him or someone else, he believes a change is necessary on the white bench.

Mijatovic Doesn't Hesitate Despite Praising Ancelotti at Real Madrid

Mijatovic has made it clear from the start that Carletto has done a great job at Real Madrid. “Ancelotti did a tremendous job, the coach who has won the most titles,” he recalled. He even dared to predict that “no one will surpass him.”

However, he has given the reasons why he shouldn't continue on the bench next season. “He has been at Real Madrid for too long, he can hardly contribute anything more, anything new,” he considers. And if he were the one making the decision, he wouldn't hesitate.

In fact, he recalled that “I fired Fabio Capello, whom I brought in, we won La Liga, and I fired him.” Therefore, he believes it's time to do the same with Ancelotti this summer. In the case of the former, he indicated that he dismissed him because “he didn't follow the philosophy of seeing the future of soccer.”
