Madrid's Allegations to Nullify Vini's Red Card, 3 Key Arguments

The 3 reasons Real Madrid has to overturn the red card Vinícius received at Mestalla

Being unjustly sent off during the game against Valencia, Vinícius has been suspended for two games. Despite being able to play in the Spanish Supercopa, this hasn't been enough for Real Madrid. The team, considering the red card the Brazilian received to be unfair, has presented three reasons to overturn this suspension.

The first was to point out the racist chants the fans directed at Vinícius. The second aimed to clarify that certain errors were made during the referee's decision. The third mentions the regret Vinícius showed for his expulsion after the game.

Through these three reasons, Real Madrid is confident that Vinícius's suspension will be lifted and the Brazilian can play. While the games he would miss are against Las Palmas and Real Valladolid, his absence would represent the triumph of injustice.

Real Madrid's reasons

Aware that games at Mestalla are always full of tension, this occasion was no exception. While Vinícius's expulsion took the spotlight, the Valencia fans once again stood out for their terrible behavior. Having been accused of racist chants in the past, the fans haven't changed at all following their continuous insults to Vinícius.

On the other hand, Madrid has claimed that Muñiz Ruiz, in charge of the VAR, didn't show Soto Grado the full sequence of the expulsion. Showing only Vinícius's action, Muñiz conveniently omitted Dimitrievski's provocations. This led to Soto Grado's erroneous decision to expel Vinícius.

While Vinícius ended up extremely upset after his expulsion, the player was able to calm down and apologize. Apologizing for what happened, Vinícius showed maturity to acknowledge his mistake and be able to play the matches where he's suspended.

The Committee's decision

Despite the Competition Committee being firm with its decision, Real Madrid is confident in being able to change the situation. Their three claims demonstrate that Vinícius was merely a victim of a Mestalla that should be the one receiving a sanction.
