Mbappé Reveals What Happened with Deschamps, Reason Why He No Longer Plays for France

A day later, Kylian Mbappé gave an interview to Canal+ France's Clique program, his first appearance since his transfer in June. The French soccer player wanted to talk about his absence from Didier Deschamps' last two call-ups.

Despite his 11 goals in all competitions, Didier Deschamps preferred not to count on him for the last two international breaks. "I wanted to go with France, but I can't say why they didn't call me," the Frenchman told Clique on Canal+ France . "In September I asked the coach not to go. I had just arrived in Madrid and had a very short holiday,"  he explained.

However, Kylian Mbappé also said that Didier Deschamps asked him to go. However, the surprise came later. Everyone expected the attacker to be on the list, but the coach didn't include him.

"I wasn't on the list, I was talking to them, and the coach told me it was better not to call me up. He's the boss, I'm behind him," he said.

A learning lesson

However, Kylian Mbappé hasn't resigned himself to this. He wants to return to France and captain his country. The striker was crucial in winning the 2018 World Cup and was close to winning the final against Argentina single-handedly.

"There are difficulties in life that you have to face. But I will never deny myself. My love for the French team hasn't changed," explained the Frenchman.

Finally, the attacker also admitted that he also misses the national team and that he wants to return as soon as possible. "Yes, I miss it, because I haven't been there for a long time," he said.
