Mbappé is crowned the best in a highly inconsistent season: new recognition
New award for Mbappé, who has made his quality clear this season
Mbappé arrived this past summer at Bernabéu as the big star after several years of pursuing his signing. The Frenchman started in the UEFA Super Cup by scoring one of the Merengues' goals. However, those good feelings were lost for several months.
He struggled to adapt and some misses from the penalty spot left him singled out by many. Little by little, he started showing his best version when he finished his adaptation period. In fact, his great night came with the hat-trick he scored in the Champions League against Manchester City.

Although he didn't step up against Arsenal, like the rest of the team, he did against Barça, with another 3 goals. To such an extent that he ended up being Real Madrid's most outstanding player. He has been named the best with the Mahou Five Star Player of the Season award.
This recognition adds to the Pichichi and the Golden Boot that the Frenchman has also achieved. These awards speak to the strong performance he has delivered despite an irregular campaign. Above all, to not having managed to help Real Madrid lift more trophies.
Mbappé opens up after being named Real Madrid's best player of the season
After collecting the award at Real Madrid's Ciudad Deportiva in Valdebebas, Mbappé spoke. He stated, "I want to thank all Madridists and the people who voted for me. My first season in Spain is being a new experience as a footballer and as a person."

He admitted, "when I arrived, I had to adapt to the team, the country, and a new language and culture." He also pointed out, "now I feel very good and you can see it on the field, I'm very happy at Real Madrid." It's clear that he is where he wanted to be and he shows ambition for the future.
He also referred to the Club World Cup: "Everyone will be watching and we're going to try to win it. It'll be the first time we play in a competition like this and we're very eager. It's an opportunity to become world champions with the club."
