Modric's first words after leaving Real Madrid and signing with AC Milan

Luka Modric is already in Milan. After closing his chapter with Real Madrid, the Croatian midfielder is starting a new adventure in Italy.

The footballer landed on Monday morning at Linate airport. He did so discreetly, although he gave his first statements as a new AC Milan player.

“I'm very happy to be here. I'm looking forward to facing the challenges. We'll have time to talk later”, Modric said upon his arrival.

Modric already undergoes medical examination

As soon as he set foot on Italian soil, Modric went to the club's medical center. There, he will undergo the medical checkup before signing his new contract with Milan.

According to sources close to the club, the agreement was finalized weeks ago. In fact, it was secured before the start of the Club World Cup, once his definitive departure from Real Madrid was confirmed.

Milan will offer him a one-year contract plus an optional additional year, if he meets participation and performance objectives.

A prestigious signing for Milan

Luka Modric's arrival is a major statement in Serie A. The Rossoneri club is seeking to compete strongly again to return to Europe.
