Modric's last message as a Madridist, he stopped with Edu Aguirre: 'Many...'
The Croatian footballer said a final farewell to the first team at MetLife Stadium
The defeat in the Club World Cup semifinals against PSG not only means being left out of the competition organized by FIFA. It also marks the end of one of the most important players' eras in Real Madrid's recent history. Luka Modric said goodbye, albeit with an unimaginable result, to the first team.
Xabi Alonso gave him the last half hour of the match against the team coached by Luis Enrique, minutes that conclude the era he began in 2013. Since then, Luka Modric has done nothing but win titles with the team, becoming a legend, as the MetLife Stadium crowd acknowledged.

Slightly separated from his teammates, Luka Modric left the stadium located in New York in front of several dozen Madridists, crowded behind barriers to get his last autograph. The Croatian attacking midfielder saw Edu Aguirre among those fans and approached him for a fist bump.
The journalist from "El Chiringuito de Jugones" took the opportunity to send him a message that certifies his farewell to Real Madrid. "Luka! On behalf of 'El Chiringuito,' all the best, okay?" said Edu Aguirre as the now former midfielder of the club walked away to greet some gathered fans.
Last message as a Madridist
"Same to you. Thank you very much for the treatment", replied the genius from Zadar, giving a thumbs up as a sign of goodwill in that brief conversation with Edu Aguirre. This response from Luka Modric to the journalist's words from "El Chiringuito de Jugones" recalls the personality of the Madridist number 10, always approachable and alert.
Luka Modric's definitive departure took place in a match that was unthinkable for everyone at the start of this very Club World Cup. However, the focus isn't on the conclusion experienced in the United States, but rather on the farewell he received during the last match of the 24/25 LaLiga season at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

It was there that Luka Modric stopped being a Real Madrid player, at least emotionally, for practically all the fans. The Club World Cup was his last chance to lift a trophy with the team, a goal he came so close to... yet so far away.
Now that his time in the locker room has ended, it's only a matter of time before the Balkan attacking midfielder heads to AC Milan. The information published in recent days, as well as Massimiliano Allegri's words, the new rossonero coach, have confirmed that move.
