Not Luis Díaz nor Saka: Florentino wants to sign the player who dribbles the most in Europe right now

Florentino Pérez intends for Real Madrid to recover the best version of one of its players

Real Madrid is experiencing a real soap opera with Vinícius. The Brazilian footballer still hasn't signed his contract renewal with the white club. His current contract expires in 2027 after the Carioca signed his previous extension almost two years ago.

In the past, negotiations between Real Madrid and Vinícius had stalled. It seemed unlikely to reach an imminent agreement, but for now, there is calm between both parties. In fact, the winger went on vacation and didn't seem very worried during his days off before the start of the new 25/26 season.

The main "problem" between Vinícius and Real Madrid

The main difference between the player and the club is due to a financial issue. Vinícius's camp reportedly requested up to €30 million net, surpassing Kylian Mbappé. However, those figures are unaffordable for Florentino Pérez, since the president doesn't want to break the accounts.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid could end up accepting Vinícius's departure in the future if both parties don't reach an agreement. However, for the player to leave, any club would have to make an offer that far exceeds €150 million. This is a "cheap" amount considering the imposed clause is €1 billion.

Florentino Pérez wants to get Vinícius back

As of today, one of Florentino Pérez's main objectives is to get the best version of Vinícius back for the next season. Much is said about players like Luis Díaz or Bukayo Saka, but the most skillful dribbler is still Vinícius. Alongside Doku, the Brazilian is the only player in the top five leagues who has surpassed 250 "dribblings" in the last three seasons.

Taking into account Vinícius's last season at Real Madrid, if Xabi Alonso and Florentino Pérez manage to keep Vinícius focused, we could be talking about the best dribbler by far. He is a game-changing footballer who is used to appearing in big matches and who reached a level that should have been rewarded with the Ballon d'Or.
