Neither Nico Williams nor Joan García, new showdown between Real Madrid and Barça for a rising star

Scouts from both squads have a shared target in Spanish soccer

Real Madrid's talent recruitment policies do not work only for the first team. At La Fábrica, they also closely follow multiple players from other youth levels, both inside and outside Europe, with the goal of expanding its overall quality. One of the latest players to attract attention in this regard is Pablo García.

The Real Betis youth team striker has accumulated notable successes with the Seville club. In addition to his goal-scoring ability shown while wearing the heliopolitan team's jersey, Pablo García has found another stage to extend his magnificent run of form with the under-19 national team.

The accumulation of sporting achievements both at Real Betis and with the national team, even at the under-19 level, has helped him attract the attention of Real Madrid. The scouts led by Juni Calafat have taken his record to the Valdebebas offices, where he has made an excellent impression.

So much so that, according to information published by "El Nacional", Madrid's negotiators have already contacted the entourage of the Real Betis winger. These moves have set off the alarm in Barcelona, where they had also included Pablo García on their agenda.

Proposed offers

Real Madrid's first moves have not yet received a "response" from the Real Betis player. Barcelona also has not made a move, although the board led by Joan Laporta understands that he is a signing with tremendous potential for its youth academy: La Masia.

Pablo García's talks with Real Madrid would not be the only contact the young Spanish talent keeps at present. The possibility of continuing in Real Betis's youth system, reaching Manuel Pellegrini's first team in the coming years, is an alternative that seems very attractive.

While Pablo García decides which path to take in his football career, Real Madrid and Barcelona will present themselves as candidates to sign him. Both clubs, top rivals in Spanish soccer, are always looking for ways to surpass their most direct competitor in every sense... the search for young talent is one of the most hotly debated areas.

Pablo García is not the only player that the leaders of these two teams keep on their radar. But he could well act as the indicator of a trend that would show the best club for football development, as well as the hopes of one day reaching the first-team level.
