Real Madrid made a great effort to sign Alexander Arnold this summer in the transfer market. It's true that he arrived on a free transfer after his contract with Liverpool ended, but negotiations were necessary. They even paid to release him early so he could play in the Club World Cup.

However, his performances so far haven't been at the desired level for the quality he has. He's been struggling to contribute in attack, barely appearing on the wing to cross. Although it's true that he still needs to adapt, that's taking a toll on the Englishman.

To make matters worse, he has seen that his presence at next summer's World Cup could be in doubt. In the previous international break, he only played 26 minutes against Andorra, and he didn't appear on the field against Senegal. Two absences that are surprising but have become more frequent.

Tuchel has made the decision not to call him up for the next international break. He has also sent him a warning: "We decided to make a more compact and competitive squad. We don't use all 23 players, and I have no doubt that I'm a great admirer of Trent."

Looking ahead, Tuchel has shown that Trent is going to have competition to be at the World Cup. He has other players who can play in his position, and for now, he has decided to go with them. If they convince him, he could take them to next summer's international tournament.

Tuchel has wanted to take advantage of the situation to give Trent a warning about his performance. "I see that sometimes he trusts his offensive contribution too much and doesn't give as much importance to discipline and defensive effort," he said. So he is clear about how he will earn his ticket to the World Cup.

The German coach has pointed out "the great impact he had at Liverpool for so many years." He warns that "if he wants to have that impact with the England national team, he must take defense very, very seriously." So Trent is not going through his best moment right now.
