Offer of €40M, Gonzalo's and Endrick's future could take a radical turn
Approaches from the European soccer top-level for the forward don't stop
One of Real Madrid's biggest surprises in this Club World Cup is Gonzalo García. The young forward, until now with the first reserve team, was drafted by Xabi Alonso to join the squad heading to the United States. Everything suggested that this draft was intended to raise his profile ahead of his future departure.
But the excellent performance of the '30' for Madrid has completely changed the roadmap in the Valdebebas offices. Xabi Alonso requested the arrival of a forward with a profile similar to Joselu's a few weeks ago, but he has been forced to recommend canceling those market inquiries. Gonzalo García is the player they were looking for.

The Tolosa coach points out, more and more frequently, that the Madrid-born striker should have a first-team spot starting in the 24/25 season. There is no strong opposition detected in Madrid's leadership to this idea, so attempts to sign this player are quickly losing popularity.
This has happened with the offers Chelsea would be preparing. The executives led by Todd Boehly, according to information published by "Fichajes.net", would have decided to put about 40 million euros on the table to sign the forward. That approach has failed spectacularly.
Soap opera in the background
Not only because of Real Madrid's board's current reluctance to sell one of Madrid's Club World Cup stars. Also because that transfer sent from Stamford Bridge's executive suite is below the release clause set for Gonzalo García: about 50 million euros.
Aware of that exit barrier, Chelsea could try again to sign him. If Real Madrid is convinced by that approach, Gonzalo García's departure would once again change the outlook for the first team's forwards. Endrick would regain his position as Kylian Mbappé's backup, now contested by the '30' for Madrid.

Meanwhile, Madrid's leadership remains alert to the performance of a player who increases the pressure from Europe's football elite regarding his immediate future. Real Madrid's initial plan was to process his departure due to lack of space in Santiago Bernabéu locker room, but Kylian Mbappé's illness has given him an opportunity.
The same has happened with Endrick's injury, who is now fully recovered and reunited with the group in the United States. Xabi Alonso now has three players for a single position, a complicated situation to solve in which he will have to balance playing time appropriately in the upcoming matches.
