Official: Florentino agrees and the player is heading to Arabia, final farewell to Madrid

Al Hilal's signing is confirmed, leaving Real Madrid without a player

Despite the ongoing Club World Cup, the transfer market isn't slowing down these days. Transfers keep being signed and Real Madrid has to be very alert to them. This is especially true because these are players who have been on its radar and it has had to make a decision.

This is the case with Theo Hernández, one of the players who was considered to strengthen the left back position. The Frenchman wanted to leave Milan and was eager to return to Real Madrid. His agents had tested the waters, but it seems he wasn't part of the plans for the club.

This is why Florentino has accepted his departure to Saudi Arabia, after confirming that they wouldn't sign him. His new destination will be Al Hilal, with whom he had sealed an agreement a couple of weeks ago. He'll become the new left back for Simone Inzaghi, who knew him well from Serie A.

The Saudis have been competing in the Club World Cup, but they were eliminated by Fluminense in the quarterfinals. This is why in the coming days they'll make Theo's arrival official. He'll also sign his new contract after having sealed the agreement they had reached.

Real Madrid prefers Álvaro Carreras for the left back position

Real Madrid considered the offer for Theo Hernández to strengthen the left back position. It was an option that was considered, although they ended up discarding it for several reasons. They consider his price too high since Al Hilal has paid €25 million.

For his age, they believed it was too high an investment and, in addition, they didn't trust giving him a second chance. This is something Florentino usually doesn't do and with Theo he won't make an exception. That's why they looked for other alternatives and Álvaro Carreras is the favorite to fill the position.

In fact, the intention is, once its participation in the Club World Cup ends, to pay his release clause. Benfica won't be able to prevent Carreras from joining the club. Meanwhile, Theo will make his move to Al Hilal official in the coming days.
