Official: Ancelotti's talisman is leaving, he has already trained with his new team

He will have an important season to show that he can have a place at Madrid

Real Madrid keeps pushing the transfer market to solve the matters they had pending. One of these is the departures of the players they don't count on. Not so much in the first team, but in Arbeloa's Castilla, which keeps making decisions.

This time it's the case of Jeremy de León, who went from being a talisman for Ancelotti to not having a place. Last season, he didn't get many minutes after an injury that sidelined him. Now it seems Arbeloa doesn't count on him, and they've already found him a new destination.

Starting this Thursday, the Puerto Rican striker is training with his new team, Hércules. Both clubs have reached an agreement for the loan of Jeremy de León until June 2026. After that, he'll return to the Merengue squad, and they'll assess the performances he has had.

The first idea they had at Real Madrid with him was to send him to the Segunda División so he could progress. They negotiated with Málaga, which seemed very interested in his arrival. In the end, it didn't happen, according to some sources, due to doubts about his physical condition.

Real Madrid hopes he shows his quality during his loan

At Real Madrid, they noticed Jeremy de León when he started to stand out at Cartagena. He was a player who was expected to be a game-changer in Raúl's Castilla, where he arrived mid-season. However, injuries haven't allowed him to get many minutes.

In addition, Raúl didn't end up trusting him either, which led to him becoming Ancelotti's talisman. The Italian took him to Champions League away games in 2022, and he earned a reputation for bringing luck. In fact, they ended up winning that edition with great performances.

He took him along to complement training sessions, so they could have 20 players for better practices. That's in the past now, and he'll have to show his quality at Hércules. They trust him at Madrid, since before closing the loan, they agreed to his contract renewal.
