Pedrerol reveals what happened in the Cornellá box with the tackle on Mbappé: 'see...'
The host of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' recounted what happened in the noble area of RCDE Stadium
One of the most talked-about plays of the last LaLiga matchday is the tackle from behind by Carlos Romero on Kylian Mbappé. This action, as well as other decisions made by Muñiz Ruiz and Iglesias Villanueva at the RCDE Stadium, have caused a 'burst' from Real Madrid in the form of a letter.
Beyond the harsh letter sent by the white club to the CSD and also addressed to the president of RFEF, Rafael Louzán, the comments about this tackle still continue. Especially about the sanction he received, a simple yellow card, and the one he should have received: all the refereeing experts, unprecedentedly, agreed that the play deserved a direct red.
But there is a reaction that has gone unnoticed until now, when Josep Pedrerol decided to reveal it on 'El Chiringuito de Jugones'. The veteran journalist seems to have information about what happened in the RCDE Stadium box, where "someone said: 'they're going to get him.' When they tackle Mbappé, someone says: 'watch out, they're going to get him'".
These words, whose protagonist remains anonymous, were filled with a lot of "fear" according to Josep Pedrerol. The reason for that feeling was based on Mbappé himself, "a player who has cost a lot to bring to Spain and when they saw that wild tackle, someone said: 'they're going to get him'". But that wasn't the only reaction that came from the RCDE Stadium box during the match between the Catalan entity and Real Madrid.
Important information
Josep Pedrerol reveals that "when they saw the yellow, the rage was enormous, enormous. And that caused everything", the journalist states, referring to the replys launched by Real Madrid last Monday. The letter and the videos published by Real Madrid TV, under the title "The global scandal continues", would be Real Madrid's reaction to what happened in the Catalan city.
The journalist recalls that it was the yellow card that caused Real Madrid's indignation, "not that the player who should have been off the field then scored the goal. These are coincidences of life that happened, so it was one less player, and then comes the goal of the player who should have been sent off" for his brutal tackle.
"That was Madrid's anger," Josep Pedrerol states regarding the new refereeing controversy in our country. The white club's request to regenerate the refereeing body, something Florentino Pérez personally asked the new president of RFEF, would be the battle horse of the white directors. Actions like those taken after the non-expulsion of Carlos Romero make it clear that Real Madrid would like to change the system completely.
The shadow of the 'Negreira case', as understood in the Valdebebas offices, is too long. This 'case', which is still in its investigation phase in the courts, has affected the white club's relationships with several clubs and with the governing entities of Spanish football.
