Pedrerol Starts El Chiringuito Feeling Down and Sends a Message to Barça: The Image

The host of "El Chiringuito de Jugones" has been very harsh with his analysis of the "case"

The  repercussions of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor's definitive non-registration with Barça for the rest of the season continue to make waves. When it seemed that the leaders headed by Joan Laporta would once again achieve their goal with very little time to spare, they failed to meet the necessary requirements and deadlines.

Faced with the claims sent from the Ciudad Condal, both LaLiga and RFEF say they don't have either the documentation or the necessary funds to proceed with both players' registration. Since then, the Barça leadership seems to be working to make it happen... although the deadline had already passed when New Year's Eve 2024 ended.

Josep Pedrerol is one of the latest to join the analysis of what happened around FC Barcelona and the inability to register these two players. After criticizing the management of the team, recalling "how many fans are eating grapes and thinking about Olmo", it was time to point out the "LaLiga's blunder, backtracking".

The host of El Chiringuito de Jugones points out that LaLiga corrected its statement, "understanding what constitutes a force majeure". That doesn't prevent him from recalling that "Barça's image in Europe, in the world, is tarnished, we all agree on that". However, Pedrerol wanted to look much further and point out a specific name.

Harsh conclusion

Given the situation, everything that happened in the 'Olmo case', should be "a wake-up call for Laporta. He needs to surround himself better", concludes Josep Pedrerol. For the host and director of this show, "regardless of whether the registrations of Dani and Pau are solved or not", the image is important.

His analysis makes it clear that it hasn't been particularly good. Waiting for almost six months to attempt a maneuver that ultimately doesn't yield positive results has impacted the team coached by Hansi Flick. Now the German coach won't be able to count on one of his top stars and favorite pupils until the next season.

It doesn't seem that FC Barcelona can solve the registrations of both players except through extrajudicial means, by going to ordinary justice. Because they haven't been granted an extension from the corresponding entities, like LaLiga: they claim not to have received either the documentation or the necessary funds to carry out this operation.

However, Josep Pedrerol points in Joan Laporta's direction... but he's neither the only one nor the first to do so. Several fan platforms of the club are already questioning the stability of the Barcelona president's position and even the first calls for resignation are being heard due to the 'Olmo case'.
