The Player Real Madrid Misses Could Return Tomorrow

The soccer player in question left just a few months ago and his absence is very noticeable

Real Madrid had to recover during the 2024 summer from several high-impact exits, most of them players leaving as free agents. One of the players who has definitively said bye to Santiago Bernabéu changing room is Nacho Fernández.

The former '6' in white couldn't find a way to extend his stay at Real Madrid after everything that happened during the 23/24 season. From Valdebebas offices, they decided not to renew his contract for another season, so Nacho Fernández himself went to Saudi Arabia to continue his career.

There, he seems to have found good form playing for Al-Qadsiah. However, that doesn't mean he will forget his experiences at Real Madrid, especially after so many years in the first team and a memorable captaincy. Fernández has returned to Santiago Bernabéu changing room and has been very clear: "back home again".

Besides stirring all the emotion among Madrid fans, the former one club man has said that "the team welcomed me as I imagined, as if I hadn't left". As expected, Nacho only has words of gratitude for "the coach and all the teammates who made me part of the titles they've won".

Always by their side

Nacho Fernández's Madridist sentiment doesn't seem to have extinguished despite not continuing to defend the white badge on the field since the summer of 2024. "Coming back here with all my people is special", confesses the former merengue center-back, knowing he will always be welcome at Madrid and among the fans no matter where he is.

"It's true it was a quick visit because I barely gave notice", laments the Spanish player. "I love them a lot, I miss them a lot, and I wish them the best for the upcoming holidays". At the same time, Nacho Fernández knows the importance of continuing to win titles at Real Madrid.

That's why he sends them his best wishes in the competitive realm: "may they win all the titles next year, and we'll be here to support them". There's no doubt that Nacho Fernández is one of the greatest exponents of Madridismo outside the European soccer elite.

The former white defender remains very connected to the club. Not only because of the shared history, a lifetime dedicated to defending the merengue jersey. Also because of the relationships and personal bonds he has forged during that time with some of the teammates in Santiago Bernabéu locker room: Dani Carvajal is the most illustrative example.
