Ramón de Mon explodes on social media after Rüdiger's injury: 'It's always the same'
The communicator and Real Madrid member with voting rights analyzes the German player's ailment
The injury to Antonio Rüdiger is one of the most difficult pieces of news to manage that lies ahead for Real Madrid. The start of the season, prior to the September international break, had only produced positive results... even though Xabi Alonso insists there are still many things to "correct" effectively.
However, the notable and unexpected absence of the German '22' causes a change of plans in every sense for the coaching staff led by the manager from Tolosa. Although Rüdiger wasn't expected to be the undisputed starter at the heart of the defense, his role as a rotation player to give Militão and Huijsen rest had been approved.

Instead of five center-backs, Xabi Alonso's Real Madrid must face one of the most demanding stretches of the season with four available players in the center of the backline. However, this injury is shocking not because of the number of matches, up to 18, that the European player will have to miss while he recovers from his already affected left knee (rodilla izquierda).
It also surprises and worries the medical staff and trainers at Real Madrid because they haven't been able to follow the plan they had in mind. The idea of the coaching staff, as seen against Real Oviedo, was to gradually resume the demands of elite European soccer step by step, without heavy minutes loads.
Defining Circumstance
The September international break has disrupted that progression in the soccer and physical demands that the white squad had planned. Ramón Álvarez de Mon has spoken about it through his social media, comparing the treatment Antonio Rüdiger has received from club and national team regarding his previous injury.
"Madrid was taking care of Rüdiger. Germany played him 180 minutes", recalls the Madridist communicator. The difference between both ways of managing a player who has just recovered from an injury that lasted for sevenmonths is more than notable: "it's always the same".

This comment can be interpreted as a reference to the own agenda of many national teams, which doesn't fit with the long-term plans of clubs. "Today Rüdiger has been injured in the leg of the knee he had surgery on and he'll be out for a long time", he concludes, confirming that Real Madrid loses a crucial player.
Now it's up to Xabi Alonso and his collaborators to find the resolution in this management of their first crisis as first-team coaches. The absence of Antonio Rüdiger removes an important option to keep quality in the defensive rotations: they must find a solution to avoid the same path as previous seasons.
