Rant against Alexander-Arnold in England, Warn Real Madrid Not to Transfer
They criticize the English winger just before his arrival at Real Madrid
Now that it seems the transfer of Alexander Arnold is already closed, from England they've gone on the offensive. They want to prevent him from joining Real Madrid and are doing so with very surprising statements. They're putting the British winger in a very delicate position.
It's important to remember that he's a key player in the national team, but that seems to matter little to them. The fact that he wants to finish his contract and head to Real Madrid hasn't been well received. Former players are harshly criticizing Alexander Arnold.
It was Roy Keane, who was at Manchester United, who has been very critical. "He's played more than 300 games with England, but he still defends as if he's never played as a right wing," he pointed out. Defensive issues are coming to light again.
"He's played all these games, and he must do training sessions, but he's playing as a right wing," he added. However, he was especially harsh with a direct statement. "People approach him as if he's confused and has never seen anything like this before," he highlighted.
They're trying to convince Real Madrid to back out, though with little success
Keane seems determined for Real Madrid to back out of transfer the full-back. In fact, he had no qualms about stating that if "he goes to Madrid, good luck." However, he looked toward the team for what might happen with his arrival, trying to stop everything.
The former player continued with his speech, indicating that "as if Madrid doesn't know how to defend." Very harsh words, but they don't seem likely to change anything. Alexander Arnold's future lies at Bernabéu, and everything might already be closed.
The latest reports have indicated that Real Madrid has already closed a deal with Arnold. Thus, he will join the merengue discipline next summer when his contract ends. Liverpool doesn't seem willing to let him go in January, although they've tried.
