Raúl Asencio loses a lot of money with his contract renewal, accepts out of love for Real Madrid

One of the surprises left by the 24/25 season at Real Madrid is Raúl Asencio. The shortage of center backs experienced by the first team led the coaching staff headed by Carlo Ancelotti to draft the youth player from Real Madrid Castilla to help with defensive duties. His performance was quite notable.

Although he could have accepted some offers from the Middle East, with figures higher than those proposed by Real Madrid, he only wants to succeed wearing the white jersey.

That idea of leaving the European soccer elite after just one season, with a long and promising career in the Old Continent ahead, doesn't seem to fit into his plans. Not even the approaches from the Saudi Pro League: this is not the first time they've asked about this footballer.

The Saudi league's attempts to sign young prospects, as was the case with Gabri Veiga, have increased significantly. That's why players like Raúl Asencio receive multimillion-dollar offers like those that could have prevented him from renewing with the white team this very summer. The player prefers to lose money but gain many more competitive opportunities.

Not only because he would keep playing at the highest soccer level. He also has the opportunity to significantly increase his trophy haul and aspire to become one of the most outstanding of his generation at La Fábrica.
