A Real Madrid Discard Knocks on Laporta's Door, Wants to Play for Barça

The "blaugranas" only aspire to him even though they didn't want him at Bernabéu.

Barcelona is already looking ahead to next summer to bring in some reinforcements for the team. For this winter market, they are ruled out since they don't have enough leeway. Although they can't aim for big transfers for the summer either, no matter how much improvement they achieve.

In recent years, they haven't been able to compete for Endrick, Güler, Bellingham, or Mbappé and will continue down the same path. To the point that the only players they consider are Real Madrid's discards. That happened with Vitor Roque, who was rumored for Los Blancos but they preferred the former Palmeiras player.

Now they could follow the same path with Christopher Nkunku, the Chelsea forward who hasn't quite adapted. He arrived to be the great star of the Blues after his good performance at Leipzig. However, as the months have passed, he hasn't met expectations.

Real Madrid reconsidered his transfer in the past, even as a possible replacement for Benzema. Finally, it didn't happen and now it seems he's getting closer to Barça as a possible reinforcement. His agent would have knocked on Laporta's door to explore his arrival next summer.

Real Madrid No Longer Reconsiders Transfer Nkunku after Acquiring Mbappé

The truth is that Real Madrid's interest in Nkunku has been gradually declining over the months. His performance this season has been poor in the Premier League, where he has only scored two goals. He has a better streak in the Conference League, where he has scored 5 goals.

Despite this, he is not a starter at Chelsea, which this season seems to have resurged after a few bad years. It's very telling that the Frenchman isn't being as involved in that good dynamic. That's why a team like Barça is looking for him, knowing that Madrid is impossible.

Los Merengues brought in Mbappé and Endrick last summer and are no longer looking for more strikers. They consider that along with Rodrygo and Vinícius, their forward line is more than covered. That's what leaves the possibility of his transfer to the Culés, as long as they have enough money.
