It is also argued that the necessary elements to consider the action as a clear goal-scoring opportunity were not present.

Real Madrid trusts that the sanction, if not withdrawn, will not be more than one match, intending to exhaust all available avenues. If necessary, they would appeal to the Appeals Committee and, ultimately, to the TAD (Administrative Sports Tribunal).
