Real Madrid shows its anger over the Ballon d'Or: a historic reaction
Absolute silence from Valdebebas's offices regarding this global award
The announcement of the Ballon d'Or nominees has caused absolute silence at Real Madrid. Although the white team has nominees in practically every associated award except the women's Ballon d'Or, there hasn't been any interaction in that regard.
What happened during the previous edition of these awards organized by UEFA and France Football still seems to be hanging in the air. Vinícius's defeat in one of the top individual honors, which happened against all odds at the hands of Rodrigo Hernández, wasn't a blow well received by the white club.

Indeed, the Merengue bosses, as we have been able to confirm at Defensa Central, wanted to see UEFA's dark hand... which was taking full control of organizing the gala for the first time. The constant differences regarding a Super League that are still unsolved, some at the top of the white club believe, cost Vinícius Jr. the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
This is why Real Madrid hasn't offered any comment regarding the appearance of up to three players as candidates for the men's Ballon d'Or. Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius himself are the only Madridist contenders, among the top twenty, who would have a chance to win that award.
No turning back
The absence of Fede Valverde from that group of footballers, given his excellent 24/25 season, is another reason that outrages Real Madrid, causing that resounding silence. Everything suggests that the total absence of the white team from last year's gala, a decision made at the last minute, could be repeated during the 2025 edition.
Not even if players like Thibaut Courtois aspire to the Yashin Trophy or Dean Huijsen and the talented Linda Caicedo are strong candidates to win their respective Kopa Trophies. The rift between Real Madrid and UEFA, beyond the Super League, is complete. The Ballon d'Or gala, which counted the white club among its most loyal attendees, is the example of that brutal gap that keeps growing.

In the upper echelons of Santiago Bernabéu, they believe that the best reaction is not to react to the announcement of the Ballon d'Or nominees. The 24/25 season hasn't been as successful as the 23/24 campaign, so there aren't many hopes of winning awards in almost every category in which they participate. Only Thibaut Courtois could be awarded next September 22.
That would be another reason that has led Real Madrid to completely ignore everything that has happened regarding the 2025 Ballon d'Or. The debates about the best-positioned candidatesleave out its three nominees, so the white club's focus is now entirely on fine-tuning the 25/26 preseason.
