Real Madrid's footballers stand firm against a massive offer from Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Pro League's interest in Santiago Bernabéu locker room is difficult to dispel
It's not the first time that Saudi Arabia has shown interest in a Real Madrid player. The transfer window for that league closed this Wednesday and several clubs from the European soccer elite are now at ease: they can now keep their stars and convince them not to leave. After all, the transfer of talent from the Old Continent to that Asian national competition has been a trend as consistent as it is striking in recent times.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo decided to sign for Al-Nassr, dozens of footballers have followed the example of the former Real Madrid or Manchester United player. After all, the Portuguese striker himself could have found himself with other current Madrid players in that tournament, but the four selected by the Saudi Pro League have refused.

The information published by "OKDiario" indicates that Vinícius, Jude Bellingham, Brahim Díaz, and Rodrygo Goes have rejected approaches from that national competition. The Saudi Pro League's fascination with Vinícius is a saga that hardly needs explanation: it began with the "7"'s defeat in the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
Thus, these approaches go way back. That doesn't mean they have a positive effect on the São Gonçalo striker, as has been seen this very summer. The bosses of several Saudi clubs reportedly went so far as to propose an impossible offer: up to €1.5 billion (1,500 million euros), tax-free, spread over five seasons.
They haven't succeeded
Eduardo Inda made it clear on "El Chiringuito de Jugones" that Saudi Arabia wasn't willing to give up so easily in signing the Brazilian striker. Despite a persistent offer of between €430 million and €540 million (400 million and 500 million euros) in transfer fees for Real Madrid, Vinícius completely dismissed the idea of leaving.
Rodrygo Goes has experienced a similar situation. The "11" verdeamarelo caught the attention of Al-Hilal after Neymar Jr.'s contract termination. That operation turned out to be disastrous and the executives of the blue squad tried to convince the Osasco-born striker with a salary of €27 million (25 million euros) net per season.

His presence in Santiago Bernabéu locker room makes clear what the response was to this approach of €135 million (125 million euros) net. As happened with Vinícius, Jude Bellingham quickly received attention from the Saudi Pro League, although the "5" received an offer of €1.1 billion (1,000 million euros) for five seasons.
This €540 million (500 million euros) gap compared to his Brazilian teammate, however, didn't make a difference in the decision of a player convinced that he wants to stay at the white club. The same is true for Brahim Díaz, tempted with a starting spot and about €110 million (100 million euros) net for five seasons. Despite everything, the footballer born in Málaga but an international for Morocco made it clear that his dream was to continue defending the Real Madrid badge.
