RealMadrid TV Explodes Over the Penalty That Almost Took 2 Points From Madrid: Against Another
Realmadrid TV Explodes After the Controversial Uncalled Penalty on Rodrygo. Jesús Alcaide Directly Points to La Liga and Talks About Unequal Treatment
Real Madrid took the three points from the Coliseum, but not without controversy.
Carlo Ancelotti's team won 1-0 against Getafe with a goal by Arda Güler. However, the end of the match was marked by a very controversial action in the local area.
In the last play, Rodrygo Goes was clearly brought down inside the area by Ismael Bekhoucha. The Getafe defender hit the Brazilian's back with his knee. Despite the clarity of the contact, Sánchez Martínez didn't call a penalty.
Realmadrid TV didn't take long to react. Journalist Jesús Alcaide launched a harsh criticism after the match:
"If Getafe scores in that last play, it wouldn't have been reviewed, but against another opponent, they would've called a penalty. This is what we've been seeing in this Negreira League."
The play caused a dangerous counterattack for Getafe. The ball ended up at the feet of youth player Álvaro Rodríguez, who shot at goal.
That's where Thibaut Courtois appeared, decisive with a great save. The Belgian saved the team with three key interventions in the final minutes.
A Refereeing Error That Could Have Been Costly
The uncalled penalty on Rodrygo not only prevented closing the match with a 2-0. It also exposed the team to an undeserved draw.

Had they conceded, VAR could have reviewed the previous play. But Real Madrid preferred not to rely on that.
The victory keeps the white team four points behind Barça and with high morale for the Copa Clásico.
Realmadrid TV Criticizes the League
From the club's official channel, the criticisms were not long in coming. The case has been labeled as another example of questionable refereeing.
"With other teams, they do review. With Madrid, they don't," Alcaide concluded.
The Clásico is just around the corner. Madrid arrives affected by injuries... and by refereeing decisions like this one.
