Regrettable and ridiculous: Jota Jordi complains again about a well-refereed play
The Barça panelist protested about what happened at Ciutat de Valencia
The second matchday of LaLiga 25/26, just like the first round of matches, isn't free from controversy. Once again, Barça's match, in this case the clash against Levante away from the Catalan capital, is the subject of multiple discussions, debates, and protests... despite the last-minute victory achieved by Hansi Flick's players.
Levante delivered a first half to remember, putting the blaugrana side under pressure and going two goals ahead on the scoreboard. The second goal scored by the Granota team came from the penalty spot, an action that remains at the center of all debates even a day after the match on the Valencian coast.

This is because the penalty awarded by Alejandro José Hernández Hernández happened due to Alejandro Balde's clear handball in his own box. When he tried to deflect a shot from "Comandante" Morales, the Spanish full-back touched the ball with his hand, blocking an action directed toward the goal protected by Joan García. That was one of the reasons why the infringement was called according to several refereeing experts such as Iturralde González.
However, those assessments, as well as the fact that Alejandro Balde's handball was clear and obvious to all spectators, aren't enough arguments for Jota Jordi. The Barça panelist from "El Chiringuito de Jugones" believes that Barça was harmed by the refereeing at the Ciutat de Valencia... even though they secured all three points in the end.
Identical actions
Jota Jordi pointed out that "it's the same referee" who didn't call the handball on Aurélien Tchouaméni in the last Clásico of the 24/25 season, a match that Barça also won. "Shameless, he didn't award a penalty to his team, but he did to Barça," wrote an upset Jota Jordi on social media, making his total outrage clear.
The commentator favorable to Barça made it clear that "they don't even hide anymore. This year they're going to make it very difficult for us" to win a league that's under scrutiny due to several controversies precisely related to the Catalan club itself. One of the most striking and long-lasting is the move of Villarreal-Barcelona to Miami, a situation that would avoid one of the toughest away trips on the schedule.

Those protests from Jota Jordi have led many users to recall previous cases of identical handballs that also resulted in penalties. The most remembered and repeated in replies to the Barça supporter is the one committed by Eduardo Camavinga at Estadio de Vallecas. The French stopper's arm is in a position identical to that of the blaugrana "3", with both players in the same context.
Once again, Jota Jordi's protests over the refereeing controversy have sparked all kinds of reactions, recalling other actions against Real Madrid by Hernández Hernández... such as the two unawarded penalties in a Clásico in the 19/20 season, as well as the harsh reminder of the shadow of the "Negreira case" that still hangs over the blaugrana club.
