RFEF responds about Mastantuono's registration, there's already a final decision

One of the peculiarities with which Real Madrid has started the 25/26 season features Franco Mastantuono. The former River Plate player joined the merengue sports discipline to fulfill his dream of wearing the white kit, a circumstance that has also excited Madridists.

In this regard, Franco Mastantuono requested to continue with the same number he had worn upon his arrival to the first team at River Plate: the "30". From the Valdebebas offices, they indicated that they were willing to fulfill that request, but the regulation imposed by LaLiga prevents first-team players from exceeding the number "25".

Thus, Real Madrid decided to register the South American attacking midfielder with a reserve team contract to enable him to take the number "30". That decision has not pleased many, given that most of Mastantuono's prominence will be centered on the team coached and led by Xabi Alonso. 

One of the main opponents of that idea, even though the rules allow this practice carried out by all Spanish soccer clubs, has been the President of CENAFE. The appearances of Miguel Galán have reached the Competition Judges of RFEF who, at Galán's own request, analyzed and reviewed Real Madrid's maneuvers with Franco Mastantuono.

It hasn't ended yet

The information published by Mundo Deportivo reveals the verdict of the RFEF Competition Committee, completely closing this improvised "Mastantuono case" that has appeared in the first league matchdays. Competition Judge José Alberto Pelaez would have decided not to intervene in the situation regarding the merengue "30", dismissing Miguel Galán's appeal.

The approaches made by the President of CENAFE regarding Franco Mastantuono's situation do not fall within the scope of action of the Competition Committee, the ruling states. Instead of going to the Competition Judge, Miguel Galán should have taken his complaint to the disciplinary committee that RFEF has for cases similar to the one created around Mastantuono.

Despite this defeat recorded in the RFEF sports courts, with a rather harsh ruling on his claims, everything suggests that Miguel Galán will continue with the case. This is what Mundo Deportivo would have reported, stating: the next step for the President of CENAFE could well be that disciplinary committee referred to in the Competition Judge's ruling.

Miguel Galán could even appeal to higher authorities in sports justice if necessary, Mundo Deportivo warns. In any case, these moves do not worry the Valdebebas offices: LaLiga has given the green light to the registration of Mastantuono, who will be on the Champions League A list.
