Rodrygo case already has an outcome, period and end after months of rumors

Real Madrid has handled two major sagas during the 2025 summer transfer window. In addition to the rumors regarding the signings made, as well as other names that came close to the white orbit, the discussions surrounding Vinícius and Rodrygo gained significant traction. 

With just two days left until the end of this transfer window, the club presided over by Florentino Pérez would have solved all those doubts. The squad is closed, a circumstance that Xabi Alonso would have hinted at with some uncertainty in his latest press conference. The future of the two verdeamarelo players is also decided, as reported by the newspaper MARCA  in its most recent information.

This Spanish sports newspaper is very clear about it: "at Real Madrid, and in white". That would be Rodrygo Goes's perception when asked about his plans for the 25/26 season. Despite the timid approaches from the Premier League, which have put him on the exit ramp for several months, a formal offer has never arrived at Valdebebas.

That's why the white sporting management hasn't let go of a footballer whose inner circle was indeed in contact, as we have confirmed at Defensa Central, with several of his English offers. Those conversations haven't been enough to "distract" Rodrygo Goes from his main goal.

Everything clarified

The Brazilian number 11 at Real Madrid has made it clear, also through his inner circle, that hisintention is to stay in the merengue locker room. At least until his current contract with the white sporting discipline expires, a deadline set for mid-2028. Rodrygo's idea is to fight for a share of minutes similar to what he had with Carlo Ancelotti.

It won't be easy, given that he hasn't started with the right dynamics in Xabi Alonso's era. The Tolosa coach placed him as a starter in the World Cup debut, but since that match, he has only made three more appearances off the bench. Something similar has happened in the first matchdays of the current league season.

His starting role at Carlos Tartiere, against Real Oviedo, was presented as the perfect opportunity to deliver a remarkable performance that would sum up the application of all his footballing virtues. Nothing could be further from the truth: he tried to do everything possible to stand out in the capital of Asturias.

However, the stellar performance by Vinícius's substitute once again left him in the background. Not even Manchester City would have managed to convince Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid this summer, a circumstance that "forces" the Osasco striker to present his best résumé. The goal, once again, is to regain his starting spot and keep succeeding in the capital of Spain.
