2 Conditions Florentino Sets to Transfer the New Eder Militão in 2025

He's clear that he's not going to transfer just any central defender and has set several conditions on the table

Real Madrid is looking in the market for reinforcements for next summer, especially for the defense. Beyond the wingers, the central defense position is the most concerning one for the club. Mainly due to the injuries that have been hitting them over the last two seasons.

Although no one will be signed in January, that doesn't mean they won't be working in the offices. The idea is to find a new Militão to strengthen the team in the summer. Florentino has already set the two main conditions for this to happen.

The first is that he wants a left-footed player to complement Militão and Rüdiger. Right now, only Alaba has the left as his dominant foot, and they want to fix that. Although in recent years, they've gotten used to playing with two right-footed players.

The second condition is that they don't want to pay an exorbitant price for any player. They don't want to rush the decision, which is why they're looking to the summer to close the deal. They know that whoever arrives must be destined to occupy the position long-term at Real Madrid.

Juni Calafat has his favorite, but there's a big problem in the operation

Juni Calafat has been scouting the scene for some time to find the best young talent for the position. His top favorite is Vitor Reis, the center-back from Palmeiras, for whom he has prepared very good reports. He considers him the greatest defensive talent in all of South America currently.

However, it doesn't seem like the Brazilian team will let him go for a low price. Among other things, because Chelsea was also behind transfer the young center-back, which could drive up the price. This could be decisive for Florentino to let him slip away.

Real Madrid is clear that the decision won't be made lightly or at any cost. They want him to be young but with guarantees of success and not cost a fortune. This is the transfer policy they followed with Militão or Varane, and now they want to repeat it.
