Real Madrid returned to work this Monday with the first training session of the preseason. The Merengues will have little time after having played the Club World Cup. Therefore, Xabi Alonso will have to make quick decisions, especially to identify problems.

One way to achieve their departure is to make a financial effort, such as paying part of their remaining salary.

It seems that in this case, Alaba and Mendy would be the ones with the best chances of reaching an agreement. Real Madrid has already amortized both signings over the past few years. It wouldn't be unreasonable after the problems they've had with injuries.

Follow Liverpool's example

Another option that Real Madrid could have is to follow Liverpool's example this summer. The Reds have made a great financial effort, with signings like Ekitike or Wirtz. However, they've had to spend many millions to achieve it, since that's what the market dictates.
