Tottenham forgets about Rodrygo and looks at another Madridist, replacement for Heung-min Son
The bosses led by Daniel Levy are now setting their sights on another of Xabi Alonso's protégés
The saga created around Rodrygo Goes seems to be heading toward its most likely outcome: the Osasco striker will stay in Santiago Bernabéu locker room for the 25/26 season. After multiple contacts with several Premier League clubs, no offer seems to have convinced the club or the footballer's entourage.
Given the situation, the '11' verdeamarelo of the white squad will have to fight to keep himself as an option for Xabi Alonso during the upcoming campaign. Meanwhile, one of the teams interested in signing him has changed its target... while still looking at Real Madrid's first team to replace its top star.

Heung-min Son's departure, who is leaving the London club a decade later, has left a major gap in the sports planning of Thomas Frank. Given the situation, the board led by Daniel Levy has quickly explored the elite European football strikers' market in search of the ideal player for the position.
Rodrygo Goes's name appeared briefly, but the Brazilian player's refusal to listen to the previous proposal has ultimately ruled him out as a replacement for the South Korean striker in the English team. In addition, the white left winger has made it clear that he doesn't wish to leave Spain's capital this summer.
Change of target
Given the lack of direct replacements for Heung-min Son, Tottenham Hotspur's sports management has turned again to Real Madrid. Ignoring Rodrygo Goes's refusals, the British executives have focused their attention on a forward from the second tier of Xabi Alonso's plans: Brahim Díaz.
Real Madrid's '21' doesn't have enough status to be a guaranteed starter, considering the great competition among the forwards... as well as the lack of space, since there are only two attacking spots designated in the upcoming tactical schemes that the coaching staff will work on.

Brahim Díaz already has Tottenham's attention to replace Heung-min Son as early as this summer. Any approach from the British Isles, however, is doomed to fail spectacularly. Not only because of the refusal sent from the Valdebebas offices to negotiate the sale of the African star.
It is also because the Málaga-born attacking midfielder is waiting to conclude negotiations for his contract renewal, according to what Defensa Central has learned. As Rodrygo Goes has stated on other occasions, Brahim Díaz also doesn't have a departure from the white first team in his plans. Not even to become one of the undisputed stars of a Tottenham that continues its casting to succeed its best player.
