The Guardia Urbana halts Camp Nou construction, more problems for Barça
The unbelievable state of Camp Nou construction works that has prompted the intervention of the Guardia Urbana
One of the biggest deceptions from Joan Laporta to the blaugrana fans has been the state of Camp Nou construction. Promising that they would soon return to the stadium, this won't be possible after the situation with the Guardia Urbana. According to information from SER, the GUB filed a report and demanded that Limak comply with its license.
This is due to a clear breach by the construction company of the regulations agreed upon with the workers. As we know at Defensa Central, Barcelona has permission to work at Camp Nou from 8 a.m. to midnight. Saturday is also a workday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
However, the Guardia Urbana noticed that Barcelona has been working at Camp Nou even on Sundays. This is clear evidence that, no matter how much Laporta promises they're close to returning to the stadium, this isn't true. While the international break will allow them to speed up the construction, there is no trust that Camp Nou will be ready.
Camp Nou disaster
One of the biggest projects carried out by Real Madrid in recent years was the renovation of Santiago Bernabéu. Although the stadium was one of the best in the world, this project has also made it the most modern. Given the success of the new Bernabéu, Barcelona didn't want to be left behind.

However, the construction of the new Camp Nou has been a disaster from the start. Laporta has promised on more than one occasion to return on a specific date that ultimately ends up being postponed. Making the workers continue building even on Sundays is a clear sign of the desperation of the blaugrana board.
Knowing that the stadium is still not finished, Barcelona has done everything possible to achieve its goal. Even so, the intervention of the Guardia Urbana could delay its plans. In addition to the GUB, Barcelona needs the technicians from the City Council, the Fire Department, Civil Protection, and the insurance companies to grant the First Occupancy License.
Another one from Barcelona
In the face of this catastrophe, Barcelona is already looking for alternatives to play its home matches. One of the options being considered is to play at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, although it must first notify LaLiga of this. The second is the stadium it used last season: the Olímpico de Montjuïc.
