The future Merengue coach targets the essential player for his sports project at the club

Real Madrid is very clear about some of the signings they must make during the next summer transfer window. While it is true that the white entity has not yet exhausted the competitive calendar, the current season would have already ended for Santiago Bernabéu locker room, with no possibilities in LaLiga.

That's why the executives led by Florentino Pérez have launched to make the future first team's coach's requests a reality: Xabi Alonso. The coach from Tolosa will arrive from Leverkusen with a short list of 'mandatory' additions that the white sports management is strictly following. At least for now, as shown by the official announcement of Dean Huijsen.

Another tremendously advanced signing is the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold as reinforcement for the right-back position, a very highlighted position in the 24/25 season. For the opposite side of the defense, Álvaro Carreras is seen as the priority footballer... although there are still no notable advances in the process that would culminate in his signing.

In addition to the restructuring of the defensive area, Xabi Alonso has requested the arrival of a midfielder. The retirement of Toni Kroos a year ago, as well as the possible farewell of Luka Modric and the transfer of Dani Ceballos would leave Real Madrid without creative midfielders. The new merengue coach would want to immediately solve that shortage of players.

It's one of his dream signings

That's why he has repeatedly requested the signing of one of the best players in the European football elite: Florian Wirtz. The addition of the '10' werkself is one of the most sought-after operations by three major teams right now: Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid itself. The difficulties of that operation, in multiple senses, place the white entity a step behind.

Only the insistence of Xabi Alonso on that signing, according to the information published by Radio MARCA, allows the executives led by Florentino Pérez to have some chance in this signing. The main problem that the white leadership sees in this process is the transfer demanded from the Kurtekotten offices: approximately 110 million euros.

That figure seems unacceptable to the bosses led by Florentino Pérez, who would try to negotiate a substantial reduction of Florian Wirtz's transfer. In addition to Xabi Alonso's insistence, Bayer Leverkusen has shown a strong resistance from which Real Madrid could benefit. The executives led by Fernando Carro would desire to prevent Florian Wirtz from going to Bayern Munich, denying a reinforcement to one of their great rivals in the Bundesliga.

The emergence of Manchester City and Real Madrid, in that sense, is 'saving' for the werkself bosses. Their presentation as a favored alternative by the player's home club, combined with Xabi Alonso's insistence, provokes extensive debates in the merengue board regarding Florian Wirtz.
