Xabi Alonso pampers him, he returns after months of injury and he could play against Juventus
The minutes that a Real Madrid star could receive in the match against Juventus after a long absence
This season was quite complicated for Real Madrid regarding injuries. One of the club's most significant absences was Eder Militao, who suffered another injury to the cruciate ligament in his knee. Leaving the club's backline unprotected for months, the Brazilian center-back has worked hard to return to the field as soon as possible.
His recovery process hasn't been easy, but finally, after a long wait, Militao is back. Training with the rest of the squad, Militao is expected to play a few minutes during this Club World Cup. This is a risky intention that Xabi will need to be careful with to avoid a relapse for the Brazilian.

Although Militao isn't ready to be a starter yet, the match against Juventus could see his desired return. If Real Madrid have already secured the tie, Xabi could give Militao a few minutes so he can regain his level.
The reward for the effort
Having been part of Real Madrid since 2019, Militao is one of the club's most important center-backs. Alongside Alaba and Rüdiger, the Brazilian center-back has kept the backline as one of the team's strongest positions. However, the last two seasons have been a complete nightmare for the 27-year-old center-back.
After suffering a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee on the first matchday of LaLiga, Militao missed most of the 23/24 season. Although the center-back managed to return to remain a key player, this campaign he suffered the same injury in his right knee.
This series of events could have discouraged even the strongest-minded player. Fortunately for Real Madrid, this wasn't the case with Militao, who after several months of work could see his reward in the match against Juventus.
A complete backline
Although Real Madrid's defense hasn't had problems during the Club World Cup, Militao's return is a relief. Despite not having a guaranteed starting spot, the Brazilian has secured a backline that aims not to suffer more injury problems.
