Xabi Alonso plans a revolution at Real Madrid after the international break
The Tolosa manager develops the new tactical and technical plan to improve performance
Real Madrid is closely monitoring the progress of all players drafted by their respective national teams during the September international break. This analysis of the performance delivered by international footballers is very important for the plans of the coaching staff led by Xabi Alonso, given the strategies designed by the coach.
One of the most important, to prevent incidents like those that occurred during the previous soccer season, is the management of effort throughout the season. One of the main criticisms directed at Carlo Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso's predecessor, was the lack of a rotation plan that would allow certain players to save energy.

Antonio Rüdiger, Fede Valverde, and Kylian Mbappé were the players most singled out in this regard. The idea of the Madrid coaching staff is to avoid that same mistake, so they're already designing their own "revolution" in the management of effort within the Madrid locker room. Rotations will be essential.
Not only to ensure rest for the players who make up the starting line-up: Their presence will be needed in the most important matches of the season. Also to offer playing time to those footballers whose participation has been, at least so far, minimal or nonexistent.
All prepared
Xabi Alonso himself addressed this issue, that of rotations, during the press conference after the match against Real Mallorca. The Tolosa coach made it clear that the rate of rotations in the white squad will increase, setting an example with names like Fran García or Raúl Asencio, when the Champions League begins.
Replacements in defense and midfield aren't the only matters concerning the Basque coach's staff. One of the main protagonists of the international break, as well as the first league matches, is Kylian Mbappé. Despite his excellent numbers and form, the new "10" for Madrid is also subject to those rotations.

However, everything suggests that he'll do so under a special regime, probably separate from the rest of his teammates... including Vinícius and Jude Bellingham, two other stars who seem essential for Xabi Alonso's preferred starting eleven. Regarding the "7" verdeamarelo there's also a plan, given the alternation with Rodrygo seen against Real Oviedo.
The internal competitiveness between both South American strikers is the main goal of the Madrid coaching staff. By having Rodrygo and Vinícius compete for a spot on the left wing, Xabi Alonso hopes to get the best out of both players. Real Madrid, in addition to the footballers themselves, would be the main beneficiary of that increased performance on the field.
